ITINERARY

GUWAHATI – SHILLONG (ASSAM – MEGHALAYA)

Welcome greetings on arrival at Guwahati Airport and transfer to Shillong (130 Kms/3 Hrs). On the way enjoy the scenic views of the Umiam Lake (THE LARGEST MANMADE LAKE IN NORTHEAST INDIA). The evening reached Shimla and check in to hotel and night stay.

SHILLONG:- Capital of Meghalaya and known as "The Abode of Clouds". It is situated at an average altitude of 4,908 feet above sea level, with the highest point being Shillong Peak at 6,449 feet. It is also known as the "Scotland of the East".

SHILLONG - CHERRAPUNJI - SHILLONG (MEGHALAYA)

Morning has breakfast and then proceed to same day excursion of Cherrapunji (56 Kms/2 Hrs one way). Here you can visit Elephant Falls, Nohkalikai Falls (the fourth highest falls in the world), Danthlen Falls, Mawsmai Lime Stone Cave, Seven Sister Falls, and Eco Park. Evening return to the Shillong and overnight stay at the hotel.

SHILLONG – MAWLLYNNONG – DAWKI – SHILLONG (MEGHALAYA)

The morning after breakfast proceed to same day excursion of Mawllynnong Village which is known as The Cleanest Village in Asia (100 km / 03 hrs drive approx). You can also experience the wonder of the Khasi War Tribes – The Single Dekker Living Root Bridge at Riwai Village. After that drive to DAWKI, a small bordering town between India and Bangladesh (18 km from the village), Evening enjoys the Boat Ride in Umngot River bordering India and Bangladesh, also known as crystal clear river. Evening drive back to Shillong and overnight stay.

MAWLYNNONG/MAWLYNNONG VILLAGE is located in the East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya, also referred to as 'God's own garden' has won the acclaim of being the cleanest village in Asia in 2003. The village known for its cleanliness is located around 90 km from Shillong and is a community-based eco-tourism initiative. The community has made a collective effort to maintain the ambiance of a clean village.

SHILLONG – KAZIRANGA (MEGHALAYA – ASSAM)

The morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and proceed to Don Bosco Museum and then proceed to Kaziranga (280 km/ 07 hrs drive). Evening reaches Kaziranga and checks into hotel and Overnight stay.

KAZIRANGA (ASSAM)

This day get ready for pre-booked Jeep safaris and elephant ride inside the national park. Early morning go for an Elephant ride (timing 5:00 AM/ 06:00 AM/ 7:00 AM) then return back to the lodge. Get fresh n up and have breakfast and proceed to visit Orchid Park, come back to lodge for lunch. Evening interested for another prebooked Jeep Safari in the Western/ Central range of the park (timing 2:00PM/3: 00 PM) for 02 ½ hrs (also depending on the sunset as in winters the sun sets early in Northeast India). Evening return to the hotel and Overnight stay.

KAZIRANGA – GUWAHATI (ASSAM) - FLY

Morning has to breakfast and say Good Bye to this wonderful journey and drive to Guwahati airport (250kms/05hrs drive) for onward destination.
