Overview

Day 1 PARO- THIMPHU (2500m, 55 km / 01 hours)
Welcome greetings on arrival at land great Himalayas which offering the most scintillating scenery of the world's highest glacial peaks. Visit the Pa-chu (Paro river), the Paro Dzong (fortress) and the Ta Dzong. After that drive to Thimphu and time permit to visit the Tashichho Dzong; the main secretariat building which houses the throne room of His Majesty the King of Bhutan and also the head seat of Chief Abbot of Bhutan. Evening return to the hotel and have dinner and Overnight stay.
Day 2 THIMPHU SIGHTSEEING
The morning after breakfast visits the Memorable Chorten dedicated to the 03rd King of Bhutan, The Textile Museum & Folk Heritage Museum represents Bhutanese material culture and way of life. The Takin Sanctuary near the Lhakhang will give the visitor a chance to glance at the National animal of Bhutan, Takin.
After that proceed to visit the school of Arts and Crafts and the National Library, a collection of ancient Buddhist texts and manuscripts and visit Buddha Dordenma which is one of the largest Buddha statues in the World at 169 feet. Enjoy the view of the Thimphu valley is spectacular from this point. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 THIMPHU - PUNAKHA (1400m, 70 km / 03 hours)
The morning after breakfast proceeds to Trongsa drive to Dochu La Pass (3050m). If the weather permits you can see a range of high peaks toward the northeast. After that drive via the Pele La Pass (3300m 10800ft) crosses the Black Mountains, the traditional boundary between west and central Bhutan.) Enroute visit the pretty villages of Rukubji and Chendebji. After that drive to Trongsa with the beautiful view of Trongsa Dzong while approaching Trongsa. Evening Check in and have dinner and Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 4 PUNAKHA (EXCURSION TO GANGTEY)
The morning after breakfast proceed to same day excursion of Gangtey. Gangtey is a beautiful place located at an altitude of 3000m of rolling hills and green meadows surrounded by snowcapped mountains. You can closely view the picturesque Black Mountain ranges and Phobjikha valley. Gangtey Gonpa Monastery is surrounded by a large village inhabited mainly by the families of the 140 Gomchens (Lay Monks). Evening return to hotel and night stay.
Day 5 PUNAKHA – PARO (2300m, 145 km / 05 hours)
The morning after breakfast visit Punakha Dzong which is built shabdrung, It is an old capital which still serves as the winter residence of the monk body. After that further back towards Dochula Pass and Simtokha to drive towards Paro. After reaching Paro visit the Rinpung Dzong, It represents an imposing square fortress and typical Dzong architecture, with a central tower and courtyards housing the administrative (Dzongkhag) and has a community of about 200 monks. Evening checks in to the hotel and have dinner and night stay.
Day 6 PARO - TAKTSANG MONASTERY - PARO
Breakfast and drive about 20 minutes to the end of the valley to Drukgyel Dzong from where one can see the towering peak of Jomolhari (7,316m, 24,003 ft), its revered as a powerful goddess, forms the border with Tibet and provides magnificent background to the ruined Drukgyel Dzong and village. After that Drive towards Rumthangka and start the Taktsang hike. Taktsang Monastery, clinging on the steep rock and it is known as one of the holiest temples in Bhutan. People believed that Guru Rinpoche flew on the Tigress back and meditated here. This trek to the temple through the pine tree and sweet aroma of the air gives you a very special and memorable event and return hike will take about 05-06 hours.
Evening enjoys local shopping in a market area in Paro city. Dinner and Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6 PARO DEPARTURE
The morning after breakfast transfer to the Paro airport for your flight to onward destination
